My name is Vanessa Grundström and I've been working as a level designer at Climax Studios and I'm a level design graduate from The Game Assembly.
I love video games (obviously), couple dancing, role playing games, camping and music!

Background
My love for video games has existed as long as I can remember! One of my earlier memories is of me asking my parents to read the"The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time" guide book for me as a bedtime story. Shortly after that I would draw my own maps, strategies and ideas for areas in my favourite games. A hobby which has stuck with me since then and I now have made into my profession.
Game development has always been something that I dreamt of doing, but didn't really realise it was an actual thing I could do until I was a teenager. Eventually I made that into reality. I saw the applications were open for Level Design at The Game Assembly, (exactly the thing what I've always wanted to do) and I sat down, did the application test, passed to the interview, I was accepted, and here I am now!
My favourite type of design is for large scale adventure games with a meaningful narrative and memorable world design. But I also have a wide palette and enjoy a wide variety of video game genres, both to play and design for. My skills and experience include, but doesn't limit to game design, encounter design, puzzle design and world design both professionally and in smaller personal projects.
So here I am, a level designer who's passion is to create levels the player longs to explore and stays with you! Where they want to come back and still find new things they never found the first time around. Challenging the player and having them work a little bit for it, making the reward so much sweeter when they succeed.
